Welcome to the

 Rapture Web Site

The sole purpose of this web page is to:

Come worship the Creator with us on your way up!

(Come as you are!)

What to do if you are left behind.

If we are not here and we have seemed to disappear.......

Please know this......

There is but ONE true GOD. HE is King of the universe. HE sent HIS only SON (JESUS CHRIST) to conquer the authority of the evil ones. The evil ones are real and powerful but through the works of JESUS CHRIST you can overcome. One day JESUS will return with HIS army to conquer all evil and set up HIS physical Kingdom here on this physical earth.

But until then I beg you to do the following:

What is the Rapture?

Most Christians believe in something called The Rapture.
Technically the word "Rapture" is not found in the Bible unless you have a Latin Bible but the concept is there in many places in both Old and New Testaments.
What is found in the Bible is this:
"For the LORD himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air.  And so we will be with the Lord forever."
[1 Thessalonians, a book in the New Testament of The Holy Bible, Chapter 4, Verses 16-17
Quote taken from the New International Version]
"Listen, I tell you a mystery:  We will not all sleep (die), but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet.  For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."
[1 Corinthians, a book in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, Chapter 15, Verses 50-52
Quote taken from the New International Version]

Many Christians believe the "caught up" in this verse refers to "The Rapture" and is the first part of Christ's second coming.  (HIS first coming was as baby in the manger who led a sinless life and was the messiah who died for ALL sins on the cross. JESUS is HIS English name. Joshua or Yehoshua is HIS Jewish/Hebrew Name and means GOD is Salvation!)

It is important to know the following:

The Bible consists of two major parts.

The Old Testament is God dealing with people during the Old Covenant/Promise/Testament. This summed up in a few words was God choosing a people (Israel), setting them a part physically from the world, giving them the law of Moses, using that law to show that ALL are sinners and need a covering, instituting the shed blood of perfect animals to cover that sin so that God could dwell with His people in a temple of stone and prepare them for the Messiah (The first coming).

The New Testament is God dealing with people during the New Convenant/Promise/Testament. This summed up in a few words was God choosing a people (anyone who believes on the Name of Jesus), setting them a part spiritually from the world, giving them the law of Grace, using the law of Moses to show that ALL are sinners and need a covering, instituting the shed blood of His perfect son - Jesus Christ to cover that sin so that God could dwell with His people in a temple of flesh and prepare them for the Messiah (The second coming).

It is also important to know that The Holy Bible was originally written in old languages which were locked in time as it were.  The exact meanings of the original languages can be found through careful study of documents found from that time period.   The Old Testament was mostly written in Hebrew and contains 39 separate books.  The New Testament contains 27 books and was originally written in either Aramaic or Greek, but eventually all books were translated into Greek, because sort of like English today, almost everyone spoke a little Greek.

Therefore, by studying the original Greek language for this verse (1 Thessalonians 4:17) from the New Testament we see the Greek word harpazo (har-pad'-zo) which means .... catch away, caught up, pluck, pull, or take by force.

Now the word "Rapture" is derived from the Latin word "raptu" which means "caught away or caught up."  This Latin word was used by early Christians to refer to this word harpazo har-pad'-zo).

Please note before you email.  I would rather not spend time arguing about when The Rapture might occur, but if you have sincere questions I will attempt to answer them.
If you have a difference of opinion, remember this.....Time will tell!
